On Friday 31st March we took a group of year 9 GCSE Philosophy & Ethics students to Lichfield Cathedral.
The day started with a guided tour around the Cathedral whereby pupils had the opportunity to take part in practical activities such as lighting candles for loved ones and confessing their sins on paper which was later destroyed.
The afternoon involved an art exhibition of the life of Jesus which pupils found extremely informative in relation to their course.
Sarah Mensah summed up the day by saying “The trip was really eye-opening, I learnt a lot about the practices of Christianity & how the services take place. It was fun being able to explore the Cathedral and it has brought what we have learnt in lessons to life”
