The South Wolverhamtpon & Bilston Academy

Our Charity Partners

Dreams the Academy’s chosen charity, was established in 2001 in order to help raise money for children who are seriously or terminally ill and provide treatment, help and support for both them and their families.

The money raised can pay for children and their families to go on holiday, to buy them their favourite toys, to provide medical treatment or sometimes even the chance to meet their chosen celebrity.

The staff, students and Parent/Carers at our Academy raise maoney aid of Promise Dreams through various fund-raising activities included participating in the Walk of the Black Country, the Summer Fayre and a Quiz Night organised by our Friends of the Academy.

We are hoping to exceed moneys raised last year and would welcome your help and support. If you are interested in helping please contact the Chair of the FTA, Emma Timmins (etimmins@swbacademy.org.uk). Thank you.

At South Wolverhampton and Bilston Academy are aware that keeping our children hydrated will aid them to perform at their very best throughout the school day. As a result, we decided to invest in water coolers from AquAid – our unique relationship with AquAid has also given our school the opportunity to help those less fortunate than ourselves.

Our decision to install a water cooler from AquAid means that for each of the machines that we have, we have donated £20 per year per cooler to The Africa Trust. Through our contributions to The Africa Trust, an ‘Elephant Pump’ is being installed in Africa on our behalf. This pump will bring much needed, clean, fresh drinking water and improve the quality of life of those who will have access to our well.

Our school’s name will be displayed proudly on our well and we look forward to adding some photos and letters of thanks from the villages to our site in the near future.

AquAid, along with their sister company Perfect Printer Cartridges have to date donated over 6 Million Pounds to Charity.
